Cloaking Affiliate Links Without Software

There are many software claiming that they can cloak your affiliate link for you. No doubt they are telling the truth, there is the other side of the truth that they are not telling you…..

You can actually cloak your affiliate links using no software at all! Neither do you have to use tinyurl or some other url shortening services which will surely make you look more unprofessional. These kinda links will also discourage others from clicking.

Here’s The Clear Difference Between Newbies & Professional Marketers…..

www.productname.com/?=imakecommissionsfromyou
youraffiliateid.productname.hop.clickbank.net
(This is a naked affiliate link, very vulnerable to hijacks!)

www.tinyurl.com/sjix
www.snipurl.com/ujei
(Doesn’t this look meaningless & unprofessional?)

www.yourdomain.com/specialofferforyou
www.theultimatepublishing.com/blog/ultimatetracker
(It’s no longer a naked link, it’s a clothed also known as a cloaked link.)

www.yourdomain.com/recommends/thisusefulproduct
www.yourdomain.com/likes/thisusefulproduct

These links make you look more like a professional marketer rather than a newbie.

Not only your affiliate links are protected from those who are trying to hijack your affiliate commissions, the links looks like part of your own website & it encourages more clicks. (More clicks means more opportunities to make more sales!)

Here’s Exactly How You Can Do It Without Any Software…..

1. create a html file & name it index.html
2. use NotePad or WordPad to open the file
3. paste this html code into the file

<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE></TITLE>
</HEAD>
<frameset border=0 frameBorder=0 rows=100%,* marginbottom=0 margintop=0 marginright=0 marginleft=0>
<FRAME name=_main src=”http://youraffiliateid.productname.hop.clickbank.net” target=”_main” scrolling=”yes” noresize frameborder=”no” framespacing=”0″>
<frame border=0 noresize>
<NOFRAMES>
<body>
<p>This page uses frames, but your browser doesn’t support them.</p>
<p><a href=”http://youraffiliateid.productname.hop.clickbank.net”>Click Here To Continue…..</a></p>
</body>
</NOFRAMES>
</FRAMESET>
</HTML>

4. replace the link, (http://youraffiliateid.productname.hop.clickbank.net), with your affiliate link.
5. save the file as a .html file (you can name it as index.html or whatever you want)
6. upload index.html into your desired domain or subdomain

That’s it! You’re done!

What I Did When I First Started…..

When I first started affiliate marketing, my number rule was to cloak all my affiliate links, I bought an Affiliate Link Cloaker, it was fine, then I switched over to using AdTrackz.

Using AdTrackz just for cloaking affiliate links is a big waste of resource! By right, it is an ad tracking script that happens to do cloaking.

Initially all I wanted was to cloak my affiliate links, I didn’t care too much about tracking because I was new & wasn’t getting too much traffic, so I didn’t really care.

My mistake did turn out well in the end, because using AdTrackz to cloak links is much faster than using the manual method that I just shown you above.

I was promoting many different affiliate programs with many different links, so when one of the links went dead, I simply went to my AdTrackz admin panel to switch to another link. In this way there’s no loss of traffic, especially when I was mainly paying for traffic so I’m more careful.

It’s not just a tracking software but a link cloaking, link management tool. Here’s where you can read the full review: AdTrackz Review
